Electrical Safety Certificates

A electrical installation condition report (EICR)

is normally carried out for home owners / landlords prior to the letting or for the sale of the property buyer / sellers. Or if you are a homeowner needing a check on your electrical system.

The electrical testing and inspecting is for all the fixed wiring within the property and is similar to doing a 'MOT' report which thoroughly checks every aspect of your electrical installation.

Our EICR Process:

Once a EICR inspection has been carried out, Is it complaint with the current regulations and standards?

Yes:

  •  If so we can issue a certificate valid for up to 5 years depending on the age and condition of the electrical installation.

No: 

  • Issue a 'failed' certificate  summarising the electrical condition of your property.

  • Supply a quotation attached for any remedial work that may be necessary to get the electrical installation up to current regulations and standards.

Fuse board upgrades

Upgrading to a new modern consumer unit will make a huge difference to the safety of yourself, family, friends, home, and business. 

  

A new RCD consumer unit would be capable of picking up any faults and electrical issues that may occur with faulty wiring or electrical goods.

We are qualified to carry out the required works to make sure your consumer unit is appropriately upgraded.

All works will be certified to the current 18th edition regulations and standards.   

Full & partial rewires 

Rewiring your home can be one of the most difficult maintenance tasks you are likely to carry out.

 

Your electrical system is powered by cables usually buried in the walls of the property. These cables provide power to your socket outlets, lights and all other electrical items in your home.

If your home has not been rewired within the last 25-30 years it may need some attention. Older cables can deteriorate over time and cause safety issues.

With the increase of electrical goods in your property this can put a strain on your current wiring system.

Routing the cables around the property will involve lifting carpets, floorboards and chasing out walls to get cables into rightful places.

The cables will then be terminated at every electrical point throughout your property,
